Welcome

Just Being Me

Welcome to my website! The course so far has been very helpful in building my skill set for digital journalism. A lot of the technological aspects of it are new to me and this is my first time putting a website together. I may feel lost at times trying to navigate WordPress but It will not keep me from trying. I know it is an important thing to learn that will benefit me greatly in my career and future. I hope to improve greatly throughout the remainder of the course. You certainly make the learning process easier. I will also be working with you for JMS 499 in a few weeks and am eager to learn more about Adobe Creative Cloud.

I am not a big fan of public speaking, but I look forward to the story pitch presentation. I think the topic I chose is an important one and it is a bit personal to me. I have witnessed firsthand the destruction caused by the opioid epidemic. I think it will fit well with the overall theme of my website. Hopefully it will resonate with others as well. I like to look ahead when it comes to classes so I can be prepared and start to generate ideas early, and I am looking forward to the inewsource/Documenters social media assignment. I heard about the organizations recently and I feel the work they do is admirable.
